Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time and delicious roasted beets as a side option. Everyone in my party thought their food was great. Very good service and friendly staff, too!

Never get tired of eating here. Rob had the flatbread and he said it was great. I ordered the special - tomato basil soup and half a beet salad (with pistachios!) as always, a great meal

We ordered from here on a Saturday night in a snowstorm for delivery by door dash. We were in Stillwater so the food wasn't super hot but no complaints. It wouldnt have been any warmer had we picked it up ourselves. We were thankful for the delivery, particularly in a snow storm. We ordered a small salad, Brussels and bacon flatbread, the steak and a short rib sandwich. This was of course far too much food but we're Americans so I guess we are just playing to type. I was expecting something else from the flatbread and was a bit disappointed. It had a strong flavor of Smokey ness. We didn't like it much. The braised short rib sandwich had a strong flavor and the King enjoyed it more than I did. The meat was tender and the cheese was melty, it was a delicious option. The salad was very good, the candied bacon is worth picking out every piece to make sure you get every last bite. I should have said no raw onions, but that's my preference. Now, the steak takes the gold star. Even slightly cooled this steak was cut in half with a butter knife. We microwaved it and it was still perfectly pink and tender as could be. To experience such a perfect steak delivered in the circumstances we did is impressive. I'd recommend and order that again. The most surprising thing was the cheesy cauliflower. I barely tasted the cauliflower which made it even better! Anything swimming in cheese is up my alley, but it was surprisingly good, so take the risk on the cheesy cauliflower. Food has really improved here and the service is also fairly good. I would say in the bar area, you need two servers though. The bartender cannot do a successful job of treating your customers like they should be as well as watch the entire bar. The servers within the restaurant do a great job and know the menu really well. They are also very helpful with food allergies and are so wiling to assist with those special requests. Thank you!!!

I have always enjoyed the service and experience dining here. With three young kids under three we don't go out as much as we used to. On this recent trip, the experience was better than I could ever have expected from a restaurant. The food was great and the care our server Tracy took for our family on a random lunch trip was impressive. My own mother was a server who died unexpectedly at 49, I used to go to her restaurant and she would take the best care of me. I haven't experienced service that came close to that feeling until our recent visit to Lakes Tavern with Tracy as our server. I would not expect service this great in the future, but if the next trip is half as nice I will be more than satisfied. We will be back and recommending this place to others.
